The Placemaking Committee develops ideas that encourages a sense of place, belonging and inclusion in the Wausau River District. Past initiatives have included the umbrellas over 3rd Street, community pianos, and colorful chalked crosswalks.

Members of this committee will create and promote educational opportunities for small business owners and entrepreneurs; connect business owners to helpful resources; and advocate for economic and residential development to benefit the District.

This committee will help execute WRD events, advertising campaigns, and assist in efforts to promote the organization.
